US spy in Iran

Monica Elfriede Witt, 39, a former US air force counterintelligence officer who defected to Iran in 2013, has been accused of assisting two Iranian front companies to mount cyber attacks on her former colleagues. The two Iranian companies are: New Horizon Organisation and Net Peygard Samavat Company. Four other Iranians have also been named in connection with the investigation by the FBI: Mojtaba Masoumpour, Behzad Mesri, Hossein Parvar and Mohamad Paryar. Witt was employed in the USAF from 1997 until 2008. She then travelled abroad to countries such as Afghanistan and Tajikistan before disappearing. At some point during her travels she decided to convert to Islam. Since arriving in Iran she has taken part in several broadcasts condemning the United States.
